Runs in your browser
Is this IP a cloud server, a crawler or a VPN?
Check an address against 24 published lists: from clouds, CDNs, search and AI crawlers, two VPNs, and Apple’s list of iCloud Private Relay exit addresses, which partner networks run.
Check an address
Reading the answer
- A match means the operator lists the block in a file it publishes; the “What it is” label is ours. Apple’s relay list holds exit addresses its partner networks run.
- Matching Google’s published crawler lists is one of two checks Google documents for spotting a fake Googlebot; the other is a reverse and then forward DNS lookup.
- No match proves little: most hosting companies and most VPNs publish no list. The network that announces an address is in IP Geolocation Lookup, and Tor exits are in the Tor exit node check, which reads the live list.
- VPN lists hold the addresses apps connect to. Mullvad sends each user out from one of several exit addresses per server, so a Mullvad exit is usually not on its list; AirVPN’s list has entry addresses only.
- We check these lists for changes every week and update them here by hand; the Read column shows the date each list was loaded.
- An address you type is checked in your browser and not sent. An address in the page link (?ip=) reaches our server with the page request, and Google Analytics if you allowed analytics. “Use my IP” asks this site for the address it sees; if Cloudflare lacks that address’s country or network, the site may look it up with an outside geolocation service.
The 24 lists
