DNS propagation checker
Ask Cloudflare’s and Google’s public resolvers for a record, and ask Google what answer 9 networks in different countries get. A different answer can mean a cache still holds the old record, the domain answers by location, or it hands out a rotating set of addresses.

What the answers mean
- DNS does not spread out in waves. Each cache keeps an answer until its TTL runs out, then asks again. Cloudflare and Google run many caches, so the TTL column shows how long the cache that answered this lookup will keep its copy; another lookup may reach a different cache.
- Cloudflare does not pass your address or network on to the domain’s servers (one Akamai debug domain aside): it “does not include client IP information in its queries to authoritative servers” (Cloudflare). By default, Google passes part of your address on to name servers that support it; its
edns_client_subnetparameter lets this page ask on behalf of a different network (Google, RFC 7871). - “Meant for /15” means the domain’s server said its answer is meant for that /15 network; the answer may still be the same everywhere. “Not tailored (/0)” means the server did not use the network to pick its answer; it may still pick by the resolver’s own location. Content networks answer by location, so different addresses there are normal.
- Changed a record and still see the old one? Ask the resolver to drop its copy: Google Flush Cache (not for domains that use client subnets to answer by location), Cloudflare Purge Cache.
- Quad9 is not here: its service does not let a web page ask it directly.
